Our Cadence DL40 range of carp fishing rods have been in development for over two and half years. Design and development were under the control of legendary carp angler, Dave Lane. We set him a mission to create the very best carp rods he could – and they don’t disappoint! This tight range of three models features 3lb, 3.25lb and 3.5lb test curve models, covering most bases a carp angler might face in both the UK and further afield in Europe. The 3.5lb version is ideal for long-range fishing, casting larger leads upwards of 140 yards. The 3.25lb version is ideal for medium to long work. The 3lb version is a great rod for fishing closer in, under the rod tips or if you simply want to feel a bit more fight from your quarry.
Each rod blank across the range has been built using the best hi-modulus carbon with a 1k weave construction. Along with our engineering knowhow, this combination produces ultra-slim, lightweight but strong blanks. All rods have a fast recovery, which aids casting distance and accuracy. Fuji K Alconite guides are light and robust and with their forward facing design are anti-frap. Completing the rod is an ALPS reel seat, that is comfortable and secure with a double lock – they also look incredible and are the perfect match to our CS10 Long Cast Reels.
A fishing rod, wouldn’t be a fishing rod if it didn’t play the fish well, and these rods have been developed with a fantastic fish playing action. Each rod delivers the right amount of power to the fish, reducing the number of hook pulls and making the fight more pleasurable.
