About the Cadence CR10 18ft Match Rods
These 18ft rods are perfect when fishing bigger rivers like the Trent, Wye, Severn and when fishing deep rivers. The extra length really helps with presentation and float control, especially in windy conditions. The rods are amazingly lightweight and well balanced with lovey progressive actions. Both versions are extremely versatile, the #1 is perfect when using bolo floats up to 5 grams and with hook lengths up to 0.14mm and the #2 version takes over if heaver floats and hook lengths are used more often.

About Cadence CR10 Match Fishing Rods
Fishing has moved on so much from 20 years ago when a match angler would typically carry two 13 foot match rods; one for light line work and a more powerful rod for bigger fish and fishing at greater distances.
And the Cadence CR10 match range reflects the diversity of venues, approaches, species and styles of fishing we all use to get the most from our sport.
So whether you want a soft-actioned 11ft rod for canal waggler fishing, a soft-actioned 12 or 13ft rod for picking off silvers and F1s on winter commercials, a 13 foot power float rod for big carp or chub on tight streams and rivers, through to a 18ft three-piece float rod for targeting barbel and chub with strong line and strong hooklengths, we have it covered – and then some.
The Cadence team are all dedicated, committed anglers, passionate about bringing out rods with the correct actions and capabilities for their specific tasks.
All of our rods are fit for purpose – designed by anglers, for anglers.
With our performance for less strategy, Cadence offers superb rods at fantastic price points. The bottom line is that this means you can afford to buy a rod that may only be used four or five times a year for a specific purpose, without breaking the bank.

Although I bought this rod 18ft #1 earlier this year I never got to fish the river with it due to unsuitable condition but I managed to spend a thoroughly enjoyable 4 hours with on the River Derwent at Howsham on Sunday
Those that know the Derwent will be aware that some pegs are easily 16ft deep, every long rod I’ve used in the past has ended up on the bank within an hour, this rod stayed in my hand for the full session, an angler who walked up had a go with it ‘ best balanced long rod I’ve every used in 30 odd years of fishing the Derwent ‘ then the obligatory “ HOW MUCH !! “ which I’ve come to expect if I loan any of my Cadence rods to others, at present the Derwent is producing mainly tiny dace and even at 14 ft deep with a 4gram crowquill avon float I was hitting the tiny fish and missing very few bites ( can’t wait to hook a decent fish on it but I don’t foresee any issues whatsoever )
