About the Cadence CR10 16ft Match Rod #1
The team at Cadence believe 16ft is the optimum length of rod for comfortable bolo fishing and the result is two models to suit different situations. The 16ft No1 is a superb rod for stick float or bolo work, especially handy to have when rivers are carrying extra water making depth of pegs more manageable and also aiding better line control. With its forgiving fast action blank, the No1 is superb for catching fish of all sizes and can easily subdue any real bonuses.

About the Cadence CR10 16ft Match Rod #2
Subtle power, a forgiving fish-playing action and great balance make the CR10 16ft No2 the choice of many match anglers, especially on big fish venues such as the Severn and Wye. Perfect for fishing with bigger bolo floats and stronger lines in deeper water, whilst it is a specialist tool which may only be used a handful of times per season, if you love targeting better fish on running water, or even big carp down the margins on running line tackle, then the CR10 16ft No 2 merits serious consideration.

About Cadence CR10 Match Fishing Rods
Fishing has moved on so much from 20 years ago when a match angler would typically carry two 13 foot match rods; one for light line work and a more powerful rod for bigger fish and fishing at greater distances.
And the Cadence CR10 match range reflects the diversity of venues, approaches, species and styles of fishing we all use to get the most from our sport.
So whether you want a soft-actioned 11ft rod for canal waggler fishing, a soft-actioned 12 or 13ft rod for picking off silvers and F1s on winter commercials, a 13 foot power float rod for big carp or chub on tight streams and rivers, through to a 16ft three-piece float rod for targeting barbel and chub with strong line and strong hooklengths, we have it covered – and then some.
The Cadence team are all dedicated, committed anglers, passionate about bringing out rods with the correct actions and capabilities for their specific tasks.
All of our rods are fit for purpose – designed by anglers, for anglers.
With our performance for less strategy, Cadence offers superb rods at fantastic price points. The bottom line is that this means you can afford to buy a rod that may only be used four or five times a year for a specific purpose, without breaking the bank.

Hi all …… having recently purchased CR10 16ft#2 and used it for the first time over the weekend I was really impressed with its looks and how it feels but it performed far better than I could of imagined, I took it to jubilee pools specifically for the tench and it tamed these fighters without any trouble, coupled up with the CS7 reel it’s a fantastic combo!!… keep up the brilliant work James

I have two CR10 16ft #2 rods and have been using them for over two years. I can honestly say they are fantastic rods! I’ve coupled them with both CS10 4000 reels and centrepins and they are a pleasure to use for river float fishing. They’re plenty light enough to hold all day and perform magnificently. The length of the rod and tip action are excellent for line control and picking up the line on the strike, especially when long trotting. The greatest feature of these rods is their progressive action; this means the tip is strong enough to set the hook easily, yet at the same time plenty soft enough to cushion light hooklenghts on the strike. The power then builds gradually making these rods exceptionally versatile tools. They are my favourite rods for specimen chub fishing and I’ve used them fishing size 20 hooks to 0.11mm line for chub to 6lb 13oz on the Dorset Stour, true testament to their firm but forgiving through action. They are equally at home fishing 6lb line straight through and bagging chub and 4-6lb barbel without bumping smaller fish like dace on the river Wye. I love these rods!!

Just got mine , at 16′ , it it feels lighter and handles better than my 14′ (Fox) match rod . Much easier to pick up line and side cast as well . A note to the Cadence team , it could be worth checking the rods out of the rod tube ( another excellent feature btw) as one of the single legs had been bent back – no big deal -it was fairly easy to straighten it out .
What about a CFTV ( Cadence Fishing TV) special ? blank signed by James and Chappy , bite marks on handle by Monty (helps grip in the wet ) or a paw mark , and in the end of the handle , a Paul Kozyra pound 🙂 .

CR10 16ft#1
After speaking to James about the sort of rod I was after I settled on the 16ft#1.What a cracking piece of kit it is.It balances very well with one of my centrepins and in use bread fishing for roach I like the soft tip,no hook pulls so far and has some power lower down the blank.Well done James and all the Cadence team on your products and excellent service.
