When you have a Cadence twin tip specimen rod in your armoury you have one of the most versatile bits of kit you will ever own. Obviously, the decision of what test curve you are going to buy will be dictated by the species and the venue you are fishing but whether you are wanting to fish for roach, bream, tench or carp in still waters or the likes of barbel and chub on rivers there is a rod in this range that will see the job done. All the rods have a delightful through action on the one piece top which makes for the perfect ledgering rod but also makes a lovely float rod for stillwater and rivers. Then there is the second top to the rod which has two push-in tips making a fabulous tip rod for the likes of bream on stillwaters and roach and chub on rivers. These really are the next generation in Specimen twin tips rods with the added advantaged of looking just as good as they perform.

Description

Why make a shorter version of our hugely popular CR10 Specimen Rods? Well, simple, there are lots of anglers that love to fish with shorter rods, especially when fishing smaller lakes and rivers. Due to their length, both rods are super light with an ultra-responsive action, perfect for smaller species in lakes and rivers. The 10ft is a joy on the quiver with big river roach and makes a smashing float rod on small, narrow rivers, when a 13ft or 12ft rod is too long. There will always be room for a shorter specimen rod in your rod bag.

This rod has transformed my fishing. The flexibility of having a normal tip and quiver tips in one compact set up has enabled me to rove the rivers & lakes with confidence that I can cope with any situation.
This was my first Cadence rod, the ordering process was smooth and James answered a few questions I had quickly. Order Placed!!
A few days later the rod arrived I eagerly opened the package and before I had even opened it I was impressed with the quality of the packaging especially the plastic tube it came in along with a quality rod bag!!
First impressions were very impressive the blank was immaculate I especially liked the Fuji rings and the colour of the blank just took me back 45 years to the fibreglass rods of the day but without the weight.
I have used the rod for chub & barbel on the river and the flexibility of changing tops is very useful and means only one rod for both jobs. The action is progressive but has power lower down and to date has landed a 18 1/2lb common on 6lb line with no issues.
My only regret I wish I’d gone for the rod & reel combo
